The mural, styled in a Victorian/Edwardian aesthetic, evokes the moody streets of 19th-century London. At its centre, bold "Old English" lettering spells "Sherlock Holmes Walk," filled in silver and outlined in black, with vibrant highlights. Surrounding buildings fade into the distance, capturing the era’s atmosphere with a greyscale palette accented by sepia and gold tones. On the south end, a silhouette of Sherlock Holmes honours the literary icon, while the north panels showcase a lamplit Baker Street.

Lines from Vincent Starrett’s poem "221B" (aka Holmes apartment) —"A yellow fog swirls past the window-pane. As night descends upon this fabled street"—appear at the bottom, connecting Toronto-born Starrett’s “bookman” legacy to the scene.
